When we try to evaluate where our life is going we may sometimes miss an important point. First we don’t know how long it will be [Our Life]. The Bible teaches us that we are not promised tomorrow. Only plan for today. We must trust in God and give thanks for each day we are blessed with. Then we will know where our life is going. It is alright to make plans but we must remember who is in control that is what is most important as we plan our lives…Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.

Trust In Our Mighty God
Posted by bli63 on April 28, 2009
The Book of Psalms is full of royal potraits of our Great God. The 93rd Psalm is one such portrait it uses words to paint Gods sovereignty. The Lord is clothed with magesty and strength, and He is greater than all the kings and presidents of the world. He is seated on an ancient throne and still rules today. He is more powerful than the forces of nature, His house is a holy place, and He promises to dwell with those who make their hearts His home…The Lord on high is mighter than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Psalm 93:4….
Almighty God , You are greater than anything I will face today.

Salvation Is Through Christ
Posted by bli63 on April 26, 2009
While methods and techniques vary widely for many undertakings, there is only one way to reach heaven to spend eternity with God. Jesus is that Way,and He is the Truth and the Life. All He asks is that we believe. He has taken care of everything else. How we do many things in this life just doesn’t matter when it comes down to whats really important related to eternity. Jesus is the One and only Way. That’s the truth worth telling…And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:31….

Restore
Posted by bli63 on April 23, 2009
When life caves in, you do not need reasons, you need comfort. you do not need answers; you need someone. And Jesus does not come to us with an explanation; he comes to us with his presence We are always seeking the reason. We wont to know why. Like Job, we finally want God to tell us what is going on…But God does not reveal, he reveals himself. He comes to us as warmth when we are cold, fellowship when we are alone, strength when we are week, peace when we are troubled, courage when we are afraid, songs when we are sad, and bread when we are hungry. He is with us on our journeys, he is there when we are home. He sits with us at our table. He knows about funerals and weddings and commencements and hospitals and jails and unemployment and labor and lauhghter and rest and tears. He knows because he is with us. He comes to us again and again…Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Who Are Our Neighbors?
Posted by bli63 on April 21, 2009
In our mobile society , some people have no idea who their neighbors are. With both parents working, jobs changing, and homes uprooted so frequently, it is not unusual for people never to get acquainted. To have a relationship the family across the street or the widow next door– folk we used to call neighbors, becomes difficult and that is sad. Who are our neighbors?…Luke 10:36-37 “Of these three men, who do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the bandits?”
37 He said, “The one who showed mercy to him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do what he did.”

God Will Provide
Posted by bli63 on April 19, 2009
God chooses the exact times and places necessary to meet our needs. When we encounter hardships and difficulties, we should just consider them as great opportunities to grow in faith. As God showed the Israelites His power and readiness to meet their needs. We should look on the bright side of life. And not doubt Gods power to always take care of our needs as well. .And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna ; for they wist [knew] not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. Exodus 16:15…Sometimes as we struggle through life’s up and downs it seems that all this is easy to say but hard to do. But I firmly believe that God, if we truly trust in Him will take care of all our needs. Sometimes it may not be what we expect. But we must remember our way and God’s way is not always the same.

Day Or Night?
Posted by bli63 on April 17, 2009
Some of us are morning people who function better in the early hours of the day but we may fade as night draws near. Others may become more productive and energised as the day comes to an end but start slowly. Fortunately God has given us both day and night for our enjoyment. In recent years the phrase 24/7 has become to be expected..However for business’s to be open 24 hours a day seven days a week is really beyond normal expectations God goes beyond all expectation, making His creation available for all to enjoy 24/7. God has provided a marvelous variety of colors, shapes scents, and textures in His creation, which we enjoy best in the light of day. But God also has given the night the awesome display of a starry sky that we cannot enjoy in the daylight..Genesis 1:5 And God called the light, Day. And He called the darkness, Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Confidence In Christ
Posted by bli63 on April 15, 2009
What a great feeling it is to know that as long as we have confidence in Jesus Christ that one day we will be called up in to heaven to stand by his side and witness all his glory and dwell with him for ever and ever. 2 Corinthians-5:5-9 Now he that hath wrought us for the self same thing is God. who also hath given unto us the earnest of the spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident. knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labor that, Whether present or absent. We may be accepted of him. I am glad to have that confidence to know that some day He will come back and claim his children, which I am glad to be called one of his, a child of God. Praise His Holy Name Amen’

The Empty Tomb
Posted by bli63 on April 12, 2009
After Mary Magdlene told John and Peter the stone had been rolled away, they ran to the garden tomb. John tells that Peter goes into the tomb and sees the linens in which Jesus was wrapped lying there empty. Even though the Disciples still do not understand they know Jesus has Risen…John 20:1-2
1 The first of the sabbaths Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, darkness still being on it, and she saw the stone taken away from the tomb. 2 Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.

Crucified With Christ
Posted by bli63 on April 9, 2009
….Paul a strict legalist who persecuted Christians, was completely transformed when he met Jesus. He was so commited in his faith to Jesus that he felt compelled to write, I am crucified with Christ..Christ liveth in me. In Romans 6:6 Paul eplains further, Knowing this , that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. So when the spirit dwells within us we then have Gods help in living by faith in the Son. I thank God that Christ lives in me. Galations 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
