A man owned a large farm. He had purchased more land than he could use, yet he coveted all the land that touched his farm. When he bought the available property, he bought the farm next to that boundary line. Someone said , He owns the whole county. This man is an example of a violator of God’s Tenth Commandment. He put the secular above the spiritual. He made no time for church or Christian involvements. Covetousness is an inner decay that kills contentment. What harm can a little covetousness do? It is a wrong attitude that leads to wrong doing, such as maybe breaking the other nine commandments. On the other hand, right attitudes lead to right actions…Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.

Lighting Storm
Posted by bli63 on July 27, 2008
I have been off line for a few days due to a very severe lighting storm. Knocked out some of our equipment. Thanks to the Lord we are back on line now, not where we were but back. Hope to have everything back on line shortly. I will be updating the blog soon. Thanks [Bro Larry].. But as were allowed of God to be out in trust with the gospel, even as we speak; not as pleasing me, but God, which trieth our hearts. 1Thessalonians 2:4

Totally In Charge
Posted by bli63 on July 21, 2008
One of the worst things that we could ever do in this time of troubles and anxiety is forget who is totally in charge. Jesus is still in charge, we may think that money and power are what it takes to rule, not so. Money may rule on earth but guess what it is not worth a hill of salt in Heaven.Think about it if there is nothing to buy money is totally worthless. I wonder if all these money crazy investors and millionaires ever think what would happen if God decided to destroy everything that we are so desperately seeking to buy with money?..Heb 13:5 Be ye free from the love of money content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.

Walk The Walk
Posted by bli63 on July 19, 2008
While we make our way through this old sinful world there is something very very important that we as Christians must do. We must set an example for all the world to see. people should say I want what they have. Instead of maybe if that is the way Christians act I don’t want any part of it. The way some Christians? act its hard to tell the difference between who is supposed to be walking with Jesus and who isn’t. Let us show the whole world who we are and what we stand for. Let us start by walking the walk, and talking the talk…Col 1:5-6 because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, 6 which is come unto you; even as it is also in all the world bearing fruit and increasing, as it doeth in you also, since the day ye heard and knew the grace of God in truth; [ASV]… Check out our Scripture devotionals.

Live As One In Christ
Posted by bli63 on July 17, 2008
While we must not sacrifice our cherished biblical beliefs, we can find common ground with Christians of many denominational or nondenominational persuasions. Rather than dwelling on things that separate us from other Christians, we can seek the things we have in common. A divided body of Christ does not draw lost people to Him…That they all may be one; as thou Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:21….
Father , I join Your children of many persuasions in praying that true revival may come.

What Would Happen?
Posted by bli63 on July 15, 2008
Did you ever wonder what would happen if Jesus came to visit in your home with you? This is exactly what happened to Zac-che’-us. He was a sinner probably didn’t think that Jesus would ever want to spend any time at all with him little on visit in his home. But Jesus saw Zacchaeus up in the sycomore tree and said come down I must stay with you for a while. Surely it was a life changing experience for Zacchaeus. It can be for anyone today that invites Jesus to visit with them…..Luke 19:1-7 And he entered and was passing through Jericho.
19:2 And behold, a man called by name Zacchaeus; and he was a chief publican, and he was rich.
19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.
19:4 And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to-day I must abide at thy house.
19:6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
19:7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone in to lodge with a man that is a sinner.

Don’t Give Up
Posted by bli63 on July 13, 2008
We don’t have to give up.
When life throws us a curve and things don’t go like we plan. Should we keep trying or just give up? I’m afraid so many gives up.This may be why so many people come to church for a period of time and just all of a sudden quit. Maybe we think when we get saved everything will be great. Life will be a bed of roses. But the truth is this is when a lot of our hard times come. Satan wants us back so he bombards us with everything possible to get us to give up.This is where we are failing as a church. We need to teach the young Christians what to expect.and to give more guidance in how the life of a Christian really is. We can always overcome Satan through our Lord Jesus Christ. Sometimes we may just need to know how. Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.

Ashamed?
Posted by bli63 on July 9, 2008
We sometimes in trying to be so politically correct forget why we go to church. When we should be enjoying the worship services, instead we are trying to find something wrong. Some are so conservative with their worship that you will never hear an Amen or Praise the Lord. If we come in the door looking miserable and like we don’t want to be there then we probably are and don’t. We should never be ashamed to worship and praise our Lord. We should attend church to fellowship with other Christians. But the most important reason is to praise and worship our Lord. Enjoy worship and give praise to our Lord…Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Raiment?
Posted by bli63 on July 6, 2008
Can you imagine how people would react to someone who lived in the forest or wilderness and came out dressed in camels hair and a leather girdle covering up his loins eating locust and honey?. Wow we would probably think he was crazy, little on listen to him preach or believe what he said was true. But that is exactly what John the Baptist did.. He preached the coming of Jesus. First in the wilderness of Judea then in and around Jerusalem all of Judea, and around the region of Jordan. Can you imagine what some of the Pastors and church members would say today. It would be like someone showing up to hold a revival that had been living in the forest and living on what food he found. dressed in maybe plain cloths or work cloths maybe a litlle on the ragged side. I just wonder how would we react? Matthew 3:6 and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said unto them, Ye offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Matthew 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruit worthy of repentance: Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire:

Remember Freedom
Posted by bli63 on July 4, 2008
We must always give thanks for the freedom God has allowed us to have in this great country of America.. And remember the ones who have fallen to protect us. Regardless of your view on the decisions that are made to go to war or not . We should always pray for our service men and women. So while we are celebrating this Independence day let us stop and give thanks to our Lord first and to our service men and women second.
“In Remembrance”
Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
