He Is

Posted by bli63 on March 31, 2008

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation; because by Him everything was created, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities- all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things and by Him all things hold together. He is also the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything. Because the fullness was pleased to dwell in Him, And to reconcile everything to Himself through Him by making peace through the blood of His cross- whether things on earth or in heaven. Colossians 1:15-20. These scriptures tell us that God is fully in charge of everything here on earth and in heaven. As Christians we are protected by this aw-some power. What a great and wondrous feeling just know God can be in total control of our lives if we just let Him.

Praise The Creator Of Light

Posted by bli63 on March 29, 2008

Let them praise the LORD: for he commanded and they were created. Psalm 148:5….Light which pervades so many elements of our world, stands out as one of our Creators trademarks. Today many believe a big bang — rather than God – generated the natural world. Others idolize nature itself rather than worshiping the one who created it. In this day and age we need to act as guides for those who may not recognize light and everything else in nature as the remarkable handiwork of the Lord. Lets Give God praise and thanks for the beautiful world in which we live.

Deliverance From Evil

Posted by bli63 on March 27, 2008

We know that God does not tempt anyone or lead His children into sin. However , He does allow trial and tests into our lives for the purpose of strengthening our faith. Jesus was no stranger to temptation after 40 days of fasting, the Devil tempted Him in the dessert when He was physically weak. It is no wonder that the writer of Hebrews said that Jesus “was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin” [Heb.4:15] In the midst of our struggles, we often find ourselves tempted to sin. That temptation comes from the desires within our hearts or from the Devil who desires evil for us. First Corinthians 10:13 reminds us that God is faithful and will never let us be tempted beyond that which we can bear. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory , for ever Amen. Matthew 6:13

Revival?

Posted by bli63 on March 26, 2008

The word revival means in Greek-Hebrew a recovery of breath. Maybe this is what we need in our churches today. It may be that we have lost our breath and are smothering on so many man made rules and philosophy’s, we have lost pace with what God wants His church to be. The simple truth is Jesus gave His life for everyone. Why?  Because God [the FATHER] loves the world so much that he wants all  to be saved. Man! this should put life back in the churches. The church should be spreading the good news more and preaching the Gospel of Christ, the blood, and the Cross. Psa 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Psa 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

Focus On God

Posted by bli63 on March 25, 2008

Something has been bothering me lately. It seems that many of us worry too much about trivial things instead of what really matters. And that is loving our Lord Jesus. Worshiping Him, and loving one another. We often let what we want and the way we want things to be stand in the way of what God intended for the life of a Christian. Christian stands for just that! Christ like. If we let Satan he will take the smallest problem and destroy us with it. But if we keep the love of Jesus in our heart and focus on Him we can over come Satan and all his evil ways. It is not what God and the church can do for me, but what can I do for God and the church. If we all follow the commandments Jesus told us to follow, and stay focused on the things that are right, then we all can rejoice in the Lord and be truly blessed. Psalm 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.May God show his up-most blessings on everyone.

Touch Me Not

Posted by bli63 on March 23, 2008

Jesus said unto her . Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say unto them. I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God. John 20:17….When Mary first saw Jesus after His death, she joyfully and worship-fully held on to Him. But Jesus said to her, Touch me not. He then told her He had not yet ascended to the Father”and I am ascending to my Father” So rather than Mary continuing to to cling to Him, Jesus wanted her to share the good news of His resurrection and coming ascension with His disciples. He also wanted her to understand the way she must now begin relating to Him. Marys future relationship would not be physical, such as touching and seeing because Jesus would be gone from earth. From now on, Mary had to relate to her Lord in faith and without Jesus’ physical presence visible to her.>>> May Everyone Have A Blessed Easter.

Good Friday

Posted by bli63 on March 22, 2008

Friday March, 21>>>Today is Karfreitag, a German word meaning “Friday of Lamentation.” In English we call it Good Friday, but other languages usually refer to it as Holy Friday. In Armenia it’s called High Friday, and the Russians refer to it as Passion Friday. In China, it’s known as the Day of Christ’s Suffering.

In Bermuda, kites will be flown today, all of them using wooden frames in the shape of a cross. As the kites soar into the sky, they symbolize the crucified one who has now ascended into heaven. In England, hot cross buns will be served, and the BBC will introduce its morning newscast with a verse from Isaac Watts’ hymn, “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.”

All over the world, Christians will pause today to ponder anew the wonder of our Lord Jesus who shed His blood for the sins of the world. Perhaps each of us should establish a personal tradition. Let’s find a way and a time today to direct our thoughts to the old rugged cross and to thank God for overcoming death and making us more than conquerors through Him. Luke 23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, an the malefactors, one  on the right hand, and the other on the left

A Refuge For Oppressed People

Posted by bli63 on March 21, 2008

When we are troubled and everyone is from time to time, if we would just keep in mind that as Christians, bought with the blood of Christ, we know that God loves us. But sometimes we take him for granted, and think its His obligation to love us. We sometimes depend on other people instead of God; but they are not perfect and will sometimes let us down. God is the Only one in whom we can fully trust and find refuge. He is a safe house for the weary and worn, and He never abandons His own. The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9

Mercy Of God

Posted by bli63 on March 20, 2008

All things whether on earth or in heaven belong to God, in all reality we don’t have anything. Our earthly possessions don’t mean a thing to God, its our spiritual readiness to serve Him that God is concerned about. We don’t need to worry so much about earthly things but concentrate on the heavenly things., Serve and give God the Praise and Glory He so richly deserves. Rom 11:33- O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
Rom 11:34- For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?
Rom 11:35- Or who first gave to Him, and it will be repaid to him?
Rom 11:36- For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things; to Him be glory forever! Amen. [MKJV]

Darkness Or Light

Posted by bli63 on March 19, 2008

We all know to walk with Jesus is to walk in the light, but there is some things we have to do, to walk in the light. John1:6-10 If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness. we lie and do not the truth.7-But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another. and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8-If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9-If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10-If we say we have not sinned we make Him a liar and his word is not in us. [KJV] — I am so proud God made it possible to walk in the light of our dear saviour Jesus Christ by giving his only begotten Son that all who believes on Him shall be saved. As we come to another Easter season lets remember who made the ultimate sacrifice. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. [HCSB]
