What can I believe? Who can I believe? people want to know what is real and what is true. The tangled threads of secular ideologies invading our society provide deceptive answers to life’s most significant questions. Contrary to popular opinion, absolute truth does exist, firmly rooted in Gods authoritative Word… And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, while I leave it, and come down to you? Nehemiah 6:3..Nehemiah was not deceived by the enemy who sought to draw him away from the work God had given him. How susceptible are we to the lies of those who would lead us away from Gods purposes? A virtue often ignored in today’s culture is integrity a quality that embraces ethical values actions and thoughts. Someone once wrote , we have grasped the mystery of the atom but we have rejected the Sermon on the Mount. We have achieved brilliance without wisdom and power without conscience. Our Lord wants to help us discern truth from error.

SET APART
Posted by bli63 on January 27, 2008
Why shouldn’t I after all, everyone else is. Such is the common reasoning for most age groups. Peter provided advice for that question. As Christians we are not to be like everyone else. We are to be Holy, which means set apart. We are to rid our minds of anything that would cause our conversations or lifestyles to suggest we are following the ways of the world. We are to distinct, holy , and set apart from the world. Why are we to be holy? because God is holy, and we should strive to be like Him… Because it is written,…..BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY.1 Peter 1:16

Just As God Is Generous
Posted by bli63 on January 25, 2008
As a child you probably repeated this mealtime prayer; God is great, God is good. Let us thank him for our food. By His hand we are fed. He gives to us our daily bread. With these simple words children learned about the generosity of our Heavenly Father and that God supplies our needs. We may have asked God for something and never received it. Maybe we continued to pray and beg, perhaps asking others to join in petitioning God to provide an answer—- the answer we wanted? Perhaps later we find ourselves thanking God that our prayer was not answered. We must understand that God knows our needs. He sees the big picture while we only see the present. And God is indeed generous in providing our needs… That thou gives them they gather; thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good. Psalm 104:28

Problems
Posted by bli63 on January 21, 2008
We all have problems whether it be at church or at work or at home. Satan tries to destroy every thing that is good and holy. He trys to destroy the church through the congregation, who lets him take over their hearts., and then they speak harm of one and another, and cause trouble for the whole church. At work when your boss or fellow workers give you a much harder time than usual, at home when our children or our spouses just seem to do all they can to get on our nerves. But we need to always remember there is always someone to turn to. Our saviour Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:23-24-25 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful as promised. 24-And let us consider one another to provoke into love and to good works.-25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more as we see the day approaching. Amen

Live For Gods Glory
Posted by bli63 on January 19, 2008
You may have described a particular exciting event to someone and summarised it by saying , “Now that’s living!”Many times emotional highs bring us to this summation. Life offers many different kind of pleasures and enjoyments, but God encourages us to keep first things first in order to reap the fullest of His blessings and discover what real living is about. For us to have goals for this new year is important. We derive our goals from Gods Word and listen to His voice as we seek His direction. As we follow through on these goals, we ultimately reflect who we truly believe God to be.. As we speak to others and act out these goals we reveal that God has a place of honor in our lives. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. Colossians 3:17

Eternal Salvation
Posted by bli63 on January 18, 2008
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. The key word here is now meaning when you have been saved. Now get this John 10:27-30 tells us this. 27 My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. 28 And I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. The key words here are never perish, meaning for eternity. Think of it like this draw a straight line what do you have? The line is forever but if you skip places when you draw the line where does it go? nowhere . verse 29- My Father which gave them me, is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my Fathers hand. The key words here are gave them me meaning eternal salvation.30 I and my Father are one. Jesus did not say that you would be saved for a little while then if you sinned, that was it you were condemned. But everyone would be judged by the deeds they do, or don’t do. Jesus promised eternal salvation. and I believe that is just exactly what He meant. I hope every one has a blessed day of worship tommorow, the Lords day. John 12:23 And Jesus answered them.saying the hour is come that the son of man should be glorifed.

Freedom Of Eternal Life.
Posted by bli63 on January 16, 2008
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Romans 6:22….As Christians, we posess the ultimate form of freedom–eternal life that includes freedom from slavery to sin as well as the freedom to become more like Jesus Christ. Eternal life frees us to live for God and to reflect His holiness. The freedom of eternal life means freedom from the wages of sin– eternal death. It includes freedom from the fear of death. Christians have the assurance that we will live forever with God. Eternal life means freedom without end as much as it means life without end.

Awsome God
Posted by bli63 on January 15, 2008
I have been in the hospital with double Pneumonia. I am better and I praise the Lord for that. I had time to do a lot of thinking while I was sick, and it came to me that maybe we are taking God for granted. God is awsome. He is not something you pull out of your pocket when you need Him. He is the center of the universe the true and living God. He is to be worshiped above all things. God is to be First in our hearts and on our minds. The true and awsome God. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 117:2
