Do we really believe? do we have faith that God will see us through all our problems if we will trust in Him. We all have our share from time to time; sickness, finances, family problems, all kinds of circumstances that we just can’t seem to handle on our own. If we will just trust and have faith in God, and truly believe; as Christians, He will give us the ability to seek out the answers, and will take care of our needs according to His will. Matthew. 7:7-8 Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. 8-For every one that asketh recieveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. So first we have to turn them over to God. Second we have to let God give us the answers. And third we have to really believe that God will take care of them. Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29- Take my yoke upon you,and learn of me; for I am meek and lowely in heart and ye shall find peace in your souls. 30- For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Praise the LORD for taking our burdens, if we will just ask.

A Childs View
Posted by bli63 on November 29, 2007
The mother realized her eight year old daughter had wandered away fro her in the store. As she anxiously looked down the aisles, her heart was still full, for her child had accepted Christ as her Saviour that day at church. She found her daughter, transfixed, looking at a poster of Christ on the cross. Quietly, she stood beside her and noticed tears streaming her little daughters cheeks. What’s the matter Elyse? Are you alright?” The child turned and looked into her mother’s eyes and saidsoftly, It’s just that I love Jesus so very much.” That same gratitude should be in our hearts as we realize that through Christs death we have been made righteous. Without that we could never measure up.

Old Or New Man
Posted by bli63 on November 28, 2007
Are we a old man or a new man. I remember when I was the old man, I thought, man I can do or be anything I want. I can do it! You see I thought I was in control. Then when Jesus came into my heart, and I became the new man, I realized that I wasn’t doing anything on my on. God was in control all the time. We still can do great things but we have to let God take control of our being. That is part of putting off the old man and putting on the new. or putting away our old life and starting anew…. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

On Or Off?
Posted by bli63 on November 26, 2007
Its Amazing to me how some think they can simply turn Jesus on or off. They will be in church for a while then just quit coming. But as soon as there is sickness or a major crisis, they run back to church and call on the Lord. As soon as this is over their back to the same old thing. Jesus is always there for us, but I wonder how many times we can flip that switch… Luke 11:23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathers not with me scatters. Rev 3:15-16.. I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. 16.. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold or hot. I am going to vomit you out of my mouth. [HCSB]

Tradition
Posted by bli63 on November 24, 2007
We need to be careful and not get too traditional in religion. We should practice the commandments of God rather than man made rules, we have so many different views on the scriptures that we confuse many new believers rather than teach them the gospel of Christ. Many new Christians get so confused that they just fall away from church all together. It is our responsibility to make sure that the young christian knows the true gospel and not man made traditions, or man made rules. If we teach the true gospel and the commandments that Jesus gave us to go by , then not only will young Christians understand what it means to be a christian maybe we will too. Mark 7: 8-9-13 For laying the aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men on the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.9- And he said unto them. Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye might keep your own tradition. 13-Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition which ye have delivered and many such like things do ye. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have ever lasting life. This is the true gospel. Tradition or truth?

Perfect Life?
Posted by bli63 on November 19, 2007
The reason so many people start going to church and make a decision to live for Christ, but soon fall away, may be that they try to live to perfect. We can’t live perfect. We are going to sin. Jesus knew this. That is why when he told the disciples how to pray Luke 11:2-4 He said in verse four. And forgive us our sins: for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation ; but deliver us from evil. Jesus knew we couldn’t live above sin. This doesn’t mean we should willingly premeditate a sin. We must live our life as pure as possible. The good news is God is an all forgiving God and will forgive us when sin occurs. The key is forgiveness. So we shouldn’t give up if we slip up and sin but repent and ask forgiveness. We are not going to be perfect, but we can live a clean Christian life.

Fooling Who?
Posted by bli63 on November 18, 2007
It’s amazing to me how some folks think if they go to church on Sunday and give some money, the rest of the time they can live anyway they want, as long as they keep hid what they are doing. The thing is, we can hide things from people, but there is nothing we can hide from God. Why? because God knows what is in our hearts. If that is the way one chooses to live they are better off not to even go to church or to profess to be a Christian. Also the money they give is doing them no good. While I do not judge anyone I do know a tree by its fruits. We also know the difference between good and evil. I was always taught to live the truth. My dad said son if you are going to live right live right, if not don’t profess too. Do not be hypocritical. That is the way I have always tried to live my life…. Luke 16:15.. He said to them, you are the ones who justfy yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your heart. What is highly valued among men is detestable in Gods sight. [NIV]

Why Worry?
Posted by bli63 on November 16, 2007
Why do we worry so much? We worry about Jobs, marriage, finances, Church, Children, and on and on. A woman said to me once I don’t know whats wrong with me. I worry all the time, and that just worries me sick. So you see we can worry about worry. While its true we need to plan for things, and shouldn’t depend on Him to do it all. We should give God the chance to provide for our needs. Then work toward our goals with Gods blessings. Then we can live life more abundantly as God intends for His people. You see there is really no need to worry as long as we trust in God. Jesus said in Matthew 6:25 Therefore I tell you do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body , what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Verses 26 -34 Jesus explains why we shouldn’t worry.

First Or Last
Posted by bli63 on November 14, 2007
Why do we walk the isle and tell the Lord that we wont forgiveness for our sins, and we want to live our life for Him. only to turn our back on Him every time something comes up we had rather do, than to go to church or to worship our Lord. Seems like something is wrong with this picture. If we do this we are not putting God first. I have heard it all. I didnt feel good or I over slept, I had company, there was a football game on I just had to see, and a number of other excuses. But the truth is we are not putting God first in our life, we are putting ourselves first and God last. And Im afraid that is not going to be good enough. Matthew 13:5-8 Some fell upon stony places. where they had not much earth; and forewith they spring up, because they had no deepness of earth.6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them. 8 But others fell into good ground and brought forth fruit. some an hundredfold somesixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Maybe we should make sure we are planted in the good ground. If we put God first we then can bear good fruit also.
