Churches

I have often wondered why there are so many different Christian churches. There are many nondenominational more so now than ever. It seems like there is a new church of some kind on every corner. People are looking for something. I have heard a lot say they didn’t like a church telling them what to do. There is only one thing a church should do and that is preach or teach the Gospel according to the Bible. That will tell everyone what they need to to do. If we dont want to hear it, then we may never find what were looking for. What do you think?

There is only one Christ, and only one fellowship of those who are ‘called out’ to be his church, but there are many places in which those ‘called out’ worship. And the glory of God who is spirit is that since Christ that glory is no longer restricted to one place.
The language in each place is often different, and the interpretation of the Gospel may speak differently to various cultures and needs, but if the glory of God is in that place then Christ is served.
