Isn’t it so great to know that as long as we have confidence in Jesus Christ that one day we will be called up in to heaven to stand by his side and witness all his glory and dwell with him for ever and ever? Do you know this? II Corinthians-5:5-9 Now he that hath wrought us for the self same thing is God. who also hath given unto us the earnest of the spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident. knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labor that, Whether present or absent. We may be accepted of him. I am glad to have that confidence to know that some day He will come back and claim his children, which I am glad to be called one of his, a child of God. Praise His Holy Name Amen’

Problems
Posted by bli63 on February 4, 2010
We all have problems whether it be at church or at work or at home. satan tries to destroy every thing that is good and holy. He trys to destroy the church through the congregation, who lets him take over their hearts., and then they speak harm of one and another, and cause trouble for the church as a whole. At work when your boss or fellow workers give you a much harder time than usual, at home when our children or our spouses just seem to do all they can to get on our nerves. But we need to always remember there is always someone to turn to. Our saviour Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:23-24-25 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful as promised. 24-And let us consider one another to provoke into love and to good works.-25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more as we see the day approaching.

Nothing But The Blood
Posted by bli63 on February 2, 2010
The new covenant God made through Jesus was above and beyond the covenant He made with Moses at Sinai. The old covenant fell short in effectivness because the people could never live up to it. Moses was merely the represenitive of the people, but Jesus was the represenitive of Almighty God. What the blood animals could never accomplish, Jesus’ blood provided at the cross; redemption from sin, the promise of the Holy Spirit, and eternal life. And for this cause he is the meditator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemtion of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might recieve the promise of eternal inheritence. Hebrews 9:15…..

Temptation
Posted by bli63 on January 30, 2010
James gives us a good insight on understanding temptation, James 1:12-18 All temptation found in the Bible was not bad. The blessings available in temptation is found only by enduring it (12) It helps us to endure when we realize that our inner surging passions are not from God. they are rooted in our sin nature since God is never attracted by evil, any attraction we fell to wrong cannot, and does not come from Him there is a temptation process we feel an inclination to evil; we submit and engage in an act of sin, then a pattern of sin takes root in our lives. James wanted us to recognize that first inclination for what it is and resist acting on our passions {13-15} But through every temptation God gives his good gifts and He remains unshadowed, Nothing can cut off or interrupt, the light He gives (16-17) He has given us his life; He intends to see us ripen and mature to fruitfulness. Just as first fruits were early ripening grains and fruits brought to Gods temple as a special thanks offering. So our good works in spite of temptation honor him.

True Treasures
Posted by bli63 on January 26, 2010
When we seek to know God better, do his will and relate to others with grace and love, we are storing up treasure of a heavenly kind. relationships become more important than things. Our changed hearts hold something for more dear than material things. They hold an eternal treasure–treasure of which we will fully realize the value when we stand before our Heavenly Father..For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21…Matthew 6:19 Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal..Mat 6:20 But lay up treasures in Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

Freedom Of Eternal Life
Posted by bli63 on January 24, 2010
As Christians, we posses the ultimate form of freedom–eternal life that includes freedom from slavery to sin as well as the freedom to become more like Jesus Christ. Eternal life frees us to live for God and to reflect His holiness. The freedom of eternal life means freedom from the wages of sin– eternal death. It includes freedom from the fear of death. Christians have the assurance that we will live forever with God. eternal life means freedom without end as much as it means life without end..Romans 6:22-23.But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23-For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sound Familar?
Posted by bli63 on January 23, 2010
The price of oil keeps skyrocketing, food is following close behind, job loss is on the increase. The prices of manufacturing products is also on the increase. These things aren’t going up pennies are dimes they are going up dollars. How much more can we stand? The working and poor people of the world cannot continue to survive if the rich doesn’t quit taking away from them.
If you are making $100,000. a year are more you can last a while but eventually you will begin to feel this impact also. We must turn to God and ask for His help. If something does not happen soon we are headed for a full blown depression world wide. However this may be Gods will to teach us a lesson For turning away from Him??? Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Gods Voice-Praise
Posted by bli63 on January 22, 2010
From the wind that blows through the trees, and the roaring of the waters, let Gods mighty voice be heard.
From the mountains and the valleys all created by His Mighty Word.
Over the desserts to the oceans that all may hear, the Mighty Word of God hold it dear.
So all may know the awsome power of God and fear.
All good He will abide
and all evil He will put aside.
Praise God from the seas to the shores
Praise God Praise God forever more.

Being Fair With Others
Posted by bli63 on January 20, 2010
To do justice and judgement is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:3…As I read this verse I thought just what does this mean? Just this. treat every one fair and with love not condemnation. sometimes as Gods children we try to sacrifice or to do more good things to gain acceptance in the eyes of our Father. We may not treat others in the way that God would desire, so we cover our actions by giving a bigger or easier sacrifice to Him. But the Lord knows the heart. A pure clean heart means more to Him than layers of good deeds.Proverbs 21:15 It is joy to the just to do judgment, but ruin shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Gods Everlasting Light
Posted by bli63 on January 18, 2010
When we have an ice storm, or something knocks out our power, and when night falls, it is so dark with no lights on anywhere. and if it is cloudy its even worse. It can be very scary, so we try to find some kind of light, a candle or flashlight some means of light….Matthew 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth…. This reminds us that for those who don’t know Christ eternity will be even darker. However for the servants of God mentioned in Revelation 22:5 it’s a much brighter prospect We have the promise from the Lord that we will live and reign with Him in eternal heaven, where night will never fall. We can rest assured that Christ has reserved a place for us in that land of unending day….And there will be no night there, and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever. Revelation 22:5…. Praise God for that Promise.
