All About Love

Jesus is all about love. After all He came to earth  to die on the cross that everyone who would believe on Him could be saved. Jesus is the only way to salvation. He is the true example of love.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting  life. John 3:16

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in His love. ..John 15:10

A new commandment I give you that you love one another as I have loved you. That ye also love one another..John 13:34.

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: For ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.1Thessalonians 4:9

We love him because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19.

A Good Reputation

It’s “cool” to be “bad” in our postmodern society. A bad reputation has more street value than a good one. Some of today’s music glorifies bad reputations. Bad is good has even invaded the fringe of the church. So what is a Christ-follower to do? The writer of Proverbs gave us some tried and true advice. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1. His pointed one- liners have withstood the test of time. Reputation was, and still is, a reflection of our character. Riches or lack thereof, still try our prejudice. Prudence is still the mark of a successful person. Humility still stumps pride. The fear of the Lord is still the starting place for the most wonderful journey any human can take. Thorns and snares are still on the daily route for all. In this upside down, downward moving, immoral, mainstream culture we inhabit, we must posses courage. In so doing we mirror and exalt the life of the Galilean we profess to follow.

A New Life

Many Christians find it hard to believe that there are still many people who do not believe in the Resurrection of Jesus. Many more do not even believe that Jesus exists. As Christians we have an exciting hope to share with others. Eternal life is available to all who will believe and receive it. If we are Christians we should be sharing how to receive eternal life.We should ask God to help us to tell others about the hope we have in Jesus Christ..John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The person who believes in me, even though he dies, will live.

26 Indeed, everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe that?”

The Purpose Of Christ

Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He died for all, but only those who accept Him as their substitute can be saved. He is the only person born into the world without hereditary depravity for He is “the only begotten of the Father.” In this way only He could fulfill the promise that the seed of woman [not of the man] should bruise the serpent’s head. [Gen 3:15]. Being without sin, Jesus was never under the law on His on account. The law could not condemn Him except as a legal substitute for the sins of others. His death was sufficient atonement for the sins of the world. To those who do accept Him, Jesus brings salvation from the penalty of sin through His vicarious death, which satisfies the claims of justice; salvation from the guilt of sin by justification through faith; salvation from the defilement of sin by His cleansing blood; salvation from the love of sin by regeneration; salvation from the dominion of sin through sanctification; and salvation of the body through resurrection and glorification.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15

Open Windows Open Doors

Open windows open doors. The relationship here is worthy of consideration. Worship comes before work. Prayer precedes programs. The one who worships God and prays to Him will never lack for opportunities to work. Windows-doors both open. We open the windows –God opens the doors. Remember, however that the opening of doors for effective service does not exemption from suffering, difficult problems and adversaries. But if we keep the windows open, the Lord Jesus is committed to seeing that the doors are not shut. And the things that may happen will turn out for the furthermore of the Gospel..

Philippians 1:12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Source Of Love

God is the source of love. Love is the main characteristic of Christians. We are to channel Gods love to others. Not everyone is receptive to Gods love, but how precious it is when another person responds to Gods love because he or she has seen Gods love in us… He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Give The Best

What is most important in our lives? For some its an expensive home for others a career that ensures financial success, others good health for them and their loved ones. None of these are wrong if used to serve God. To often we stress to much emphasis on the temporary things of this life on earth, and do not stress the importance of wholeness and eternal life through Jesus Christ. Peter did not offer the lame man money, although he could have, instead he offered the man the best gift- wholeness in the name of Jesus Christ. Gods grace is free and given to those that except Him. This generous gift is the best gift of all. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. Acts 3:6….

Trust In God And Do Good

Trust in the LORD and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily shalt thou be fed. Psalm 37:3……Our heavenly Father has proven to us time and again that He, too is worthy of trust. Whenever we fail to acknowledge and lean on that trust, we live beneath our privileges. As we trust God and welcome his goodness we, in turn will desire to do good. As a result we will reap the rewards  of having placed our trust in God. Lets give God our complete trust and rest in His promises and do good.

Jesus’s Followers

The Apostle Peter knew the reality of suffering for Christ. He had experienced the vibrant birth of the church and witnessed its daily growth only to see it scattered in the wake of persecution. Remembering Christs promise of such injustice..Matt. 5:11..Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and lay all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake…..Peter understood that salvation was free and that discipleship carried a great price. In light of Christs suffering, Peter considered believers’ suffering to be a privilege– an opportunity to walk in Jesus steps..Have we committed ourselves to follow Christ regardless of the cost? Thank God today for the privilege of sharing in Christ’s suffering, and daily ask for strength to glorify Him as we endure….For even hereunto were ye called; because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. 1 Peter 2:21….
